Pietro Prestininzi is Associate Professor of Hydraulics at Roma Tre University. His research interests cover a wide range of topics in the physics of fluids, investigated both numerically and experimentally. An active developer in the community of the Lattice Boltzmann modelling, he studied fluid dynamics problems spanning spatial scales from micro (flows in artificial and natural porous media) to large scales (environmental and oceanic flows). Particular attention has been devoted to develop and test new approaches to multiphase flows, as well as engineering applications involving complex flows.
