Dr. Claude Cambon has been a senior member of the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) since 1979. He has consulted at ONERA (French National Aerospace Research Center) from 1988 to 2010. As chairman of the Pilot Center PEPIT, he rebuilt the network in 2007 into the Centre Henri Bénard of the European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence & Combustion. Dr. Cambon is still working in the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Fluides et d'Acoustique at Ecole Centrale de Lyon as a CNRS Emeritus Directeur de Recherches. He lectured at the graduate level and in Summer programs. During the summers he had visited at the Center for Turbulence Research, Stanford University/ NASA Ames (1990 to 1999). Also in 1999, Dr. Cambon was invited for a two-month residency to the Turbulence Program at Isaac Newton Institute, Cambridge.
